How randomness and RNG work in online games
Understanding how results are produced removes most of the mythology around prediction games.
What an RNG actually is
A random number generator produces values with no usable relationship to previous values. In well-built systems, results are generated server-side and the client simply displays them, so nothing observable on your screen contains information about the next round.
Testing and certification
Independent laboratories test RNG implementations for regulated operators and publish certificates. A certificate is meaningful only when you can verify it on the laboratory's or regulator's own site, and only for the specific operator and games it names.
Why humans see patterns anyway
People are pattern-finding by default, and random sequences naturally contain clusters and streaks that look meaningful. Reading a results history feels like analysis, but it produces no predictive information whatsoever.
Provably fair systems
Some platforms publish cryptographic commitments that let a player verify a result was not altered after bets were placed. This verifies integrity of the draw — it does not make the game profitable or predictable.
